On the Adobe FreeHand Forums, the latest discussion is about getting widespread awareness of FH through a gallery web site of the best illustration and design done in it. The overall idea is good but I'd like to hear from everybody on this suggestion I made there:
A FreeHand Gallery is a great idea. But I’m also realizing its a pretty huge undertaking. How many designs would a site have to deal with and how would these be presented? Out of the many thousands of FH designers, how can the best designs and illustrations be fairly selected? After talking with a number of folks on this it’s obvious that for anyone here to take this on would be a full-time job.
So I propose a different gallery idea: Every designer and illustrator here on the Adobe FH Forum and on the FreeFreehand Forum will add a page to their existing web site totally dedicated to the BEST work they have done in FreeHand. Add text that tells your story with FreeHand and what it means to you. Tag the page so it hits Google searches. Basically spread the word by thousands of gallery sites not just one.
A member on the FreeFreehand Q&A forum came up with the idea of a “badge” gallery that will link to all the designer sites having these FH gallery pages. One example looks something like this (although slow to load):

What do you all think?
I think this certainly could expand our exposure but how realistic would it be for you all to add a page to your personal sites showing your best FH work and your personal feelings about it?
