It might not be relevant, but then again it might... If you've been running FHMX for less than 30 days. I won't know for a few days, but it sounds like I was having a registration problem. After nearly nine hours of Adobe phone support (mostly wait time), two different techs agreed that if FH worked on 10.6.2 for 30 days, it should be able to work again... If I start over. Meaning, purchase a new copy. Which at this point, I'm willing to do. Even at 6 years 'behind', FH still beats Illustrator for most of the work I do.
My FH also got a little flighty for a week or so before it 'disappeared' over night. I think I was just enjoying my new Mac's lightning speed--and failed to notice the 'temp' files being saved (usually a sign before something goes awry--at least for me). And now I recall FH quitting on me for no reason a few times, but it always came back. Since I was on a deadline, I figured I'd deal with it later.
Late today, I discovered that Adobe had my MX serial number noted as FH9. (though it's not--I have a different # for FH9). Perhaps this mix-up happened when Adobe bought Macromedia. Anyway, perhaps my computer thought I was running a trial and my 30 days were up. So, no "fix" was going to let it run. At least, that's what I'm hoping. Since they still have me on record as only FH9, it looks like I can simply purchase the upgrade--fingers crossed. If it doesn't work, they said I could return it. Hoping I don't have to purchase the full version...
So I guess I'm recommending that you check your registration with Adobe--just in case. (And good luck!)
